Han-Gyaku-Sei Million Arthur is an anime based on Square Enix’s massively multi-player online role-playing game of the same title. The game, developed by Square Enix and NetEase, was released in China on March 30, 2018, while the Japanese release was on November 29, 2018.
Events featured in both titles differ, with the anime opting for a light comedy setting, over the game’s more serious narrative.
The anime will feature 24 episodes in total.
-10 during the first season which began airing on October 25, 2018.

-1 Planned to release with the final Blu-Ray volume on October 2, 2019.

Synopsis
The sacred sword, “Excalibur”.
The blade of selection, prepared to test one’s aptitude of becoming King and ruling over Britain.
Whoever pulls this sword will be known as “Arthur”, and granted tremendous strength.
However, there wasn’t just a single person that pulled Excalibur.
With this surge of power being created, the legend became flooded, tying to the distortion in history.
In order to correct history, six Arthurs: Dancho, Tekken, Yamaneko, Kakka, Renkin, and Rurou head to the past land, “Britain”.
Their mission is to destroy every Excalibur distorting history.
That number, one million.
This is a rebellion to the past.
And a battle to protect the future(present).
Story
Episode #1: Rebellion to the Past

On top of immense power, the sacred sword “Excalibur”, is capable of distorting history. In order to destroy the million swords causing that distortion, six Arthurs: Dancho, Tekken, Yamaneko, Kakka, Renkin, and Rurou head to the past Britain.
However, due to their leader, Dancho’s odd behavior, everyone is puzzled and the team is on the verge of collapsing.
During this time, the local Arthurs detect their movements, and gather in an attempt to turn the tables. That number is approximately 10,000!
Episode #2: The Forbidden Sacred Sword

Renkin is a responsible girl who loves history. In comparison, Dancho’s careless attitude and clingy nature leaves her disappointed. Not to mention she’s displeased with her comrades treating her like at child at every opportunity.
Meanwhile, Renkin gains new information on an Excalibur, and sets off alone in an attempt to prove everyone wrong. Noticing Renkin’s disappearance, Dancho follows her in a panic, but this ultimately ends in an argument. Soon after, a suspicious group of men arrive…
Episode #3: Iron Fist of Wrath

Tekken and Kakka head to a mining town to break an Excalibur. However, they end up working in the mine due to a misunderstanding. Compared to the exhausted Kakka, Tekken blends right in with the other miners.
Soon after, the mining president, Leicester, appears before them. Both Tekken and Kakka are in awe, thanks to his great personality, and how he gained the trust of the miners. However, due to discovering an ore in the mine, Kakka has a bad feeling and begins investigating.
Episode #4: From the Sanctuary with Love

With Yamaneko’s stoic personality, she’s the complete opposite of Dancho. However, after hearing where the new Excalibur is located, she makes an out of character decision, and volunteers to go there herself. She then heads to the town along with Rurou.
Despite the harvest festival approaching, the town is deserted. Feeling uneasy about the situation, they split up to investigate. Rurou suddenly senses a threat, and thinks someone may be after them. On the other hand, Yamaneko arrives at the town plaza. To her, that was a place she considered a “Sanctuary”.
Episode #5: Rotten Art

With the destination of an Excalibur in mind, Dancho and Kakka head to an all girls’ school. Kakka is forced into cross-dressing, and the pair sneak in to begin their search.
However, Dancho completely ignores the investigation in favor of enjoying the girls’ school life. Nuckelavee and Brigitte also change into uniforms to embrace this schoolgirl mood.
Kakka, who’s disguised as a girl, receives a request to model for the art club. He reluctantly agrees, but this art club has a slight problem…
Episode #6: Star Fishing Arthur

For a bit of relaxation, Dancho and the girls of the team head to a newly opened resort. They completely forget the mission and spend this time enjoying themselves. However, they encounter an incident where swimsuits are disappearing without a trace.
They immediately head out to investigate, but due to the enemies unbelievable talent, swimsuits continue to vanish one after another leaving the females in an unbecoming situation. The mastermind behind this appears to be a single Arthur, with a terrifying ability.
Episode #7: Rose Buds

After falling in a river, and getting swept away by the current, Rurou is saved by a woman named Rose. Rose is a woman who lives alone and takes pride in her roses. She governs the town as its Lord, and is loved by her people. However, a neighboring noble, Duke Dokudami, has been persistent with a marriage proposal.
To put a stop to this, Rose claims that she has “devoted herself to someone”, and ends up getting Rurou wrapped into things. At that time, the Panagia Counter detects an anomaly, leading Rurou to suspect Dokudami of being an Arthur.
Episode #8: Call Them Magical Girls

With the goal of breaking an Excalibur, Renkin, Yamaneko, and Kakka head to a seashore town. Renkin is excited to visit a town that later becomes a famous historic site. However, once they arrive, things are quite different from history, leaving her confused.
Just then, three girls, who looked as if they just came out of a magical girl anime, appeared. Recognizing Renkin and the others as enemies, they launch an attack. These three girls are known as the “Magical Girl Arthurs” that protect the town
Episode #9: Amongst the Most Beautiful Light

On the night of a beautiful moon, a cute girl suddenly lands in front of Tekken. This girl is known as Kaguya, the legendary idol that even surpasses Utahime Arthur.
With her high-handed princess-like attitude, Kaguya suddenly demands Tekken accompany her as a bodyguard, to assist with a dangerous fan pursuing her.
However, Tekken shows no interest in Kaguya, and is even unfazed when unintentionally seeing her naked. With Kaguya’s pride wounded, she thinks up a way to get back at him.

Like always, Dancho and the others are on top of their game. Crushing an Order of Arthurs in the blink of an eye, they leave no enemies in sight.
During that time, the Fortune-teller Arthur has a prediction that “An overwhelming shadow, even greater than before, is approaching…”. Will this become a new strength for Dancho and the others? Trembling with fear, the enemy Arthurs decide to unleash a terrifying plan.
Learning about their motives, Dancho and the others are faced with a decision. Should they stay and fight, or escape while they have the chance. Which conclusion will they ultimately choose…
